She creates a smooshy background with inks and an acrylic block, then adds splatters and tone-on-tone stamping for extra texture. Kirei demonstrates how to use a fun cut file to create a scene on your layout. She uses a window and curtain cut file, backing it to replicate windows on a pretty background paper. By layering in floral corners fussy cut from patterned paper, she creates lots of dimension and a charming scene.

In this video, part of a Scrapfest mini-class, Kirei shows how to use a moodboard to inspire your scrapbooking layouts. She demonstrates how to draw color schemes, design elements, and themes from a moodboard to create a cohesive and beautiful layout.



8. Using Stamps and Metal Dies

Kirei shows how to use stamps and metal dies to add extra detail to a layout. She uses a square grid stamp to add subtle stamped detail echoing the multiple squares of patterned paper on her layout. She also incorporates delicate leaf die cuts into her embellishment clusters for added layers, creating a cohesive design with a cute bunny theme.



9. Creating a Mixed Media Background

In this video, Kirei demonstrates how to use stamps to create a fabulous mixed media background. She uses a brush stroke stamp with different colored inks to add horizontal rows down the center of white cardstock.
