Stitchable Metal Dies -- Add Hand-Stitched Texture

Our stitchable die line is something you won't find anywhere else. These dies cut your shape and punch tiny evenly-spaced holes along the edges -- so you can add hand-stitching for texture, color, and a completely unique handmade feel.

Hand-stitching on scrapbook pages is one of the most popular techniques among our members, and these dies make it incredibly easy. No need to poke holes with a needle or measure spacing by hand. Just cut, thread your needle, and stitch.

We have 13 stitchable die designs in our collection, from mandalas and stars to tags and circles -- with new designs added regularly.

Why Hand-Stitching Works So Well

  • Texture you can feel. Stitching adds a tactile, dimensional element that flat embellishments can't match.
  • Color with thread. Use embroidery floss in contrasting or coordinating colors to add another layer of design.
  • It's meditative. Many of our members say hand-stitching is the most relaxing part of their creative process.
  • Completely unique. No two hand-stitched pieces are identical -- every one is truly one of a kind.

Getting Started with Stitchable Dies

  1. Cut your shape from cardstock using your die-cutting machine.
  2. Choose embroidery floss or thin thread (we love using 2-3 strands of DMC floss).
  3. Thread a needle and stitch through the pre-punched holes -- running stitch, backstitch, or cross-stitch all work great.
  4. Secure the thread on the back with a small piece of tape and adhere to your layout.
